ABOUT
Gender gap in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields is a global issue. According to the AAUW, women make up only 28% of the workforce in STEM, with men greatly outnumbering women majoring in most STEM fields in universities. Computer science and engineering are two of the STEM fields with the highest gender gap.

A number of factors dissuade girls from pursuing STEM careers, including, but not limited to, gender stereotypes, a paucity of female role models and a male-dominated culture in workplaces/industry.
Therefore, we aim to encourage girls to view STEM fields as not only viable, but engaging career options, and motivate girls already enthusiastic about STEM to stay motivated!
We are doing this by providing inspiration through highlighting a few role models from across the world, encouraging girls to seek research opportunities by using a map displaying research labs and providing research ideas using a chatbot, and proffering links to relevant opportunities/scholarships.
